Your adventure begins with your scenic drive south down the Costanera Highway from Dominical to the community
of San Josecito. Where your off-road journey begins through mountain farmlands and biological reserves of South Costa Rica (Osa) to
Aventura de la Montaña.
Upon your arrival at 9 AM our local guide will lead you for a 45 min. hike up the mountain rainforest trail along our border river to the first waterfall. Where you will take a short break to cool off, before heading through the jungle to the second waterfall.
This hike takes about 25 min
through the primairy and secondary jungle before reaching the highlight of the tour....a 100+ meter waterfall in the middle of
nowhere! Take your time for pictures and swimming at the natural pool at the bottom of this waterfall.
You can even climb a bit up (at your own risk!) the waterfall to take dipp in a pool located about 15 meters above the bottom pool.
When heading down for lunch, you will take another route down the hill through 20 acres of reforested pastureland.
You'll have an opportunity to spot Howler Monkeys, White-face Monkeys, Spider Monkeys, Wild Turkeys, Javelinas, Anteaters, Coati, and River Otters, plus a large variety of bird species.
