Aventura de la Montaņa is located in the mountains, just 10km from Uvita on the South Pacific (Osa) ocean and just 1 hour away from Dominical or San Isidro.
It is only accessible by 4x4 truck, horse or on foot, meaning this area is virtually untouched and therefore full of bird- and wild life. You'll have an opportunity to spot Howler Monkeys, White-face Monkeys, Spider Monkeys, Wild Turkeys, Javelinas, Anteaters, Coati, and River Otters, plus a large variety of bird species, like the toucan and the trogon.
One of the main attractions are definitely the three spring fed waterfalls of 300' / 100 meters which can be reached by a well
maintained trail, taking you along the river, up into the jungle and down the mountain.
Our mission is to preserve our 130 acres of primary mountain jungle and it habitants. Eventually we want to transfer it into a private biological reserve, which will be conserved for ever and ever!
Since we have no electricity & telephone and are a bit secluded, we do (almost) everything the old fashion way.
We use only biodegradable soaps and cleaning products and our toilets are of the old-fashion ones!
The river is very close by, so we almost have no mosquitos that bite ya!
